Chevron DIY Artwork

I am absolutely in love with chevron patterns and other design patterns of late, and my condo is lacking in some serious art work. So I decided to do an art project that would show case this new love in my home. I found this super easy chevron DIY artwork project, I WAS OBSESSED... (and you will be too) I had to take up the challenge. I was very happy with the out come, I hope you guys will try it out.

{Here is how its done!}

         { I borrowed most of my paint and brushes from my artist friends and saved on $$}

{ The fun part, go crazy with what ever colours and pattern stripes or splatters that you like!}

 {Let your art dry for 30 min to an hour  min}

{ Apply tape in chevron pattern or any pattern that you like, don't worry if painters tape does not line up}

              {This part took forever, but be patient, it will be worth it}

{Make sure painters tape is applied well and is not lifting at the corners, then apply white paint all over the canvas. This may need a few coats}

{PATIENCE....only remove tape after it has dried for over 2 hours. If its still wet wait for a little while longer, my painters tape was not the best so it frayed on the edges of the tape, but I kind of like this texture effect}

{The final product! Love this hanging on my wall!!}
