The Bougie Life: FALL LAYERS- Mixing old and new

I cleaned out my closet with the notion I have nothing to wear this fall. I am always pained with the debate of whether to shop for such a short season and the fact a blizzard could happen any day now and its back to winter coats and Sorel boots! I was pleasantly surprise to find some items in my closet that I have not worn in a while and that are great layering pieces. The weather is not cold enough for heavy jackets but it gets cool enough later in the day where layering is essential. The best way to layer is to know what parts of your body need to be covered from the elements, for me it is my neck, legs and feet. This outfit was a mix of last season hauls that included the sweater dress, faux fur coat, leggings and my best find last year, knee high boots from Aldo on SALE! This fall I bought mostly accessories (trends come and go but accessories are forever!), I got a big blanket scarf that is a wicked statement piece and a cross body purse from Winners. Have fun this fall mixing and layering your wardrobe pieces, you never know what you will find that will make a great look!
